(by Bob Przybylo) OK, OU softball isn’t back, like actually back, as in the regular season. But as the focus is on football in October and basketball getting rolling, softball joins in on the fun, too. It is time for fall ball in Norman.

The Oklahoma Sooners softball team represents the University of Oklahoma in NCAA Division I college softball. The team competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and plays its home games at Love's Field in Norman, Oklahoma. The Sooners are currently led by head coach Patty Gasso.

(by Jesse Crittenden) NORMAN — Oklahoma softball has announced its schedule for the 2025 fall season. The schedule includes five Battle Series dates along with exhibitions against East Texas A&M and Oklahoma Christian. The Sooners kickoff their fall slate with a Battle Series game on Oct. 3.

The chances of the OU softball team going undefeated were slim. But it was hard to picture the top-ranked Sooners falling like this. OU fell to Missouri 3-1 on Saturday at the Mizzou Softball Stadium to snap their NCAA-best 31-game winning streak that stretched back to last season.
