Instead of explicit rules, the model builds relationships from examples, enabling it to make probabilistic predictions. For instance, a machine learning-based spam filter learns from thousands of labeled emails to identify patterns like word combinations or sender behavior. This makes it highly adaptable to new data and suitable for complex, data-rich tasks such as image recognition, fraud detection, or language translation. However, machine learning models can be opaque ("black box") and require substantial data and computational resources for training.
