When we type “python”, what exactly is happening? The Python interpreter is written in a high-level language called “C”. You can look at the actual source code for the Python interpreter by going to www.python.org and working your way to their source code. So Python is a program itself and it is compiled into machine code.

It has efficient high-level data structures and a simple but effective approach to object-oriented programming. Python’s elegant syntax and dynamic typing, together with its interpreted nature, make it an ideal language for scripting and rapid application development in many areas on most platforms.

Languages like C are often described as "compiled," while Python is called "interpreted." But what does this distinction actually mean? The answer lies in understanding how code is transformed from human-readable instructions into machine code that the CPU (Central Processing Unit) can execute. The CPU is the brain of the computer.
