WASHINGTON (AP) — The 2027 NFL draft is heading to the nation’s capital on the National Mall, President Donald Trump said Monday, bringing the widely popular event back to Washington for the first time in more than eight decades.

On Monday, President Donald Trump announced at the White House that the 2027 draft will take place at the National Mall in Washington D.C., with the Washington Commanders as the hosts. Mark Maske and Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post first reported the news before Monday's official announcement.
