Emmy nominee Shawn Hatosy, best recognized as Dr. Jack Abbot in The Pitt, is set to step behind the camera for one of the episodes in the show’s second season.

The Pitt Season 2 production is well underway, and a number of new cast members have been revealed. The latest casting comes on Tuesday, July 29, with news of Lawrence Robinson recurring as a patient.

“Abbot lands and he’s only in Season 1 for four hours out of the 15, but you come away from it sort of seeing him as a regular,” Shawn Hatosy says.

During today's Televerse panel, The Pitt star and EP Noah Wyle announced that he was directing the sixth episode of the second season.
