The Council today decided to renew the sanctions introduced by the EU in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by the Russian.

The Council prolonged the EU sectoral restrictive measures in view of the Russian Federation's continuing actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine, until 31 January 2026.
