A Dhaka court yesterday denied bail to former chief election commissioner KM Nurul Huda in a case filed over alleged irregularities and bias during the past national elections.

Nurul Huda was arrested on June 22 after he was assaulted by a mob at his residence in Dhaka's Uttara and later handed over to police. He was initially placed on a four-day remand the following day.
