Ukrainian officials say two people have been killed and eight others wounded in a Russian missile-and-drones attack on Kyiv.

The strikes come after Ukraine launched drones towards Moscow for a third day, forcing most of the Russian capital’s airports to close hours before Chinese President Xi Jinping was due to arrive.

Ukraine’s Magura V7 surface drone reportedly shot down two Russian Su-30SM jets using American-made Sidewinder missiles, marking a breakthrough in naval drone warfare and showcasing Ukraine’s evolving capabilities.
