The South African once again mocked ‘All In’ for his losing run, joking that he would ‘sacrifice’ his luck to help Allen against Marvin Vettori at UFC 318 because he ‘needed it more’. Allen went on to defeat Vettori via unanimous decision to bounce back from consecutive defeats and record his first win since April 2024.
Chimaev, who has been billed as a future megastar since his UFC debut, finally captured gold at UFC 319, and the money followed. His payout from the event is believed to be between $1.8 and $2 million, the highest paycheck of his career so far.
Du Plessis’ coach Morne Visser criticised Khamzat Chimaev’s UFC 319 performance, calling it slow and boring while reflecting on his fighter’s challenges.
