Microsoft recently described some updates to Windows Server, including the introduction of global hotpatching and the planned deprecation of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
While not listed as critical, CVE-2025-49719 is a publicly disclosed information disclosure vulnerability, with all versions as far back as SQL Server 2016 receiving patches.
When updating Windows 10 and Server 2022 in April, the error message with code 0x80070643 often appeared. Microsoft has corrected this.
Microsoft has released yet another emergency out-of-band update, the third in this month. This one applies to Windows 11 24H2 and Server 2025.
Microsoft has provided unscheduled updates for Windows Server 2022 and Windows 10. They solve problems with Hyper-V and Bitlocker.
