Not that jailbreaking your PS3 is hard, but this is plug-and-play, for the truly lazy among us. You will, of course, need an older firmware (3.41) to get it to work in the first place.

It's a borrowed port from the front. Don't plug anything into the same front USB port that you're using for the back or the PS3 will freak out and cut the peripheral's use and need to restart.
