NASCAR in 2026 will race on a new street course in San Diego, return Chicagoland Speedway to the schedule, move the All-Star race to Dover, Del., and end its 38-race season back at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

NASCAR officially unveiled its 2026 Cup Series schedule Wednesday, one day after The Athletic broke the news, and the latest edition has some notable changes.

Among the most notable changes, NASCAR is moving away from both the Chicago Street Race and Mexico City. In their place, next season’s street race will be held at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, California, while Chicagoland will return as the host of NASCAR’s Fourth of July Weekend race.
