Michael Jackson didn’t hold back when Donny Osmond came to him in a time of need. Osmond — who shot to superstardom in the ’70s as a teen idol — recently shared a clip to his Instagram, reminiscing about the harsh advice the King of Pop once gave him about his then-struggling career.

Osmond had first risen to fame with his brothers Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay as part of The Osmonds in the 1970s, before branching into a solo career and co-hosting the hit variety series Donny & Marie with his sister.
