The Denver Broncos dominated the Arizona Cardinals in a 27-7 victory on Saturday evening. After a 30-9 win over the San Francisco 49ers last week, the Broncos are now 2-0 going into the final week of preseason.
After the Cardinals tied the game at 7, the Broncos went 70 yards in eight plays with the big ones of 17 and 16 yards to Bryant and a 27-yard scoring pass to Tony Franklin on which there appeared to be miscommunication in the secondary. That drive lasted 2:39.
The Broncos' offense moved the ball with ease regardless of who was in the game, averaging 7.8 yards per play and going three-and-out just once on the night. Arizona's defense had a tough time stopping Denver particularly in the first half, where the Broncos scored on their first four-of-five drives.
The Broncos rested most starters, but not Evan Engram, against the Cardinals. Sean Payton explained why after the game.
The Arizona Cardinals lost their second preseason game Saturday night, a 27-7 defeat to the Denver Broncos in which they allowed 562 yards and only gained 135. They didn't play any of their starters expect for rookie cornerback Will Johnson and new linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither.
