A 49-year-old man has been arrested and now faces charges of vehicular homicide after Denver police say he struck a pedestrian, killing them, and driving away.

Denver police said a driver is now in custody after allegedly fleeing the scene of a deadly crash with a pedestrian Saturday night in Denver's Central Park neighborhood.

Police said a suspect was arrested after a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian in Denver Saturday night. The Denver Police Department posted on social media just after 11 p.m. Saturday that they were investigating a crash in the 3600 block of North Quebec Street involving a driver and a pedestrian that caused fatal injuries to the pedestrian.
