The National Hurricane Center has highlighted an area it's watching in the Gulf. Right now, there's a low chance for development.

A storm system spinning off the southeastern US coastline has caught the attention of the National Hurricane Center.

The system is expected to become an extratropical cyclone within the next couple of hours.
