Ahead of the release of “Stranger Things 5,” which dropped on Netflix at 8 p.m. EST on Wednesday, series creator Ross Duffer posted a PSA on Instagram, walking viewers through their television settings to ensure that everything is set up for a proper viewing experience.

If Stranger Things was once the nostalgic bicycle-riding show you could justify letting the kids watch, in Season 5, innocence is cancelled.

Ross Duffer explained the situation to Variety, saying "It’s different in that he’s able to channel Vecna’s powers. But they’re all related. Vecna and Eleven, their powers are similar. The powers aren’t within him. He’s able to channel these powers from Vecna and use it, sort of puppeteering."
