Roblox is implementing some major changes to the control it gives parents over their children's accounts following damning reports that its platform was rife with child exploitation and abuse.

Parent privileges In an email to users, Roblox said: “Next month, we’re changing the way parents manage their child’s experience on Roblox by introducing Roblox accounts with parent privileges.

The rumors that Roblox is shutting down emerged as lawsuits allege the gaming platform is not a safe environment for minors.

Within these controls, parents can set daily screen time limits and view their kids' friends list. Parents will need to link their Roblox account with their kids' account.

A persistent Roblox player finally recovers their 16-year-old account, and once again has access to all the items obtained and games played.
