Once you’ve enabled the use of an authenticator app from the Ring Control Center, you’ll be prompted to retrieve an authentication code from the app each time you log into your account.

I prefer the option to use an authenticator app rather than receiving codes via text message whenever possible, and so should you. The reason is simple logistics.

Two-factor authentication is a must, but don't settle for the SMS version. Use a more secure authenticator app instead.
