Nvidia has released a new driver for users sticking to the old (like very old) graphics cards that no longer receive mainstream support. Version 475.14 also supports Windows 7, 8, and 8.1.

Yesterday, NVIDIA updated its "Game Ready" driver for GeForce desktop and laptop graphics cards to version 576.28 25.4.1 — now available for download directly from NVIDIA.com.
