It allows you to simulate analog circuits, LCDs, stepper and servo motors and can include programmable PIC or AVR (including Arduino) processors in your simulation.

A Gadget Master has built their own VR motion simulator, powered by an Arduino and using recycled parts from an electric mobility scooter.
