So it's good news to see, as we would expect, that the Android 4.4 SDK is now available. Developers can make the upgrade from directly within the Android SDK Manager.
Google has made ADB and fastboot available as a standalone package, meaning users no longer need to download them with Android Studio or the Android SDK.
Previously, you'd have to download Android Studio or the SDK to get these, which are a 400MB-1.6GB download. Even the smaller command line tools download is still 200-300MB.
Up until now, these tiny tools have been bundled in the gigantic Android SDK, but Google will finally let you download these tools on their own.
