Roblox shut down the Chinese version of its iOS and Android app, also known as LuoBuLeSi, just five months after its release in China, according to a report from TechCrunch.

According to a study completed by Electronics Hub, people hate Roblox more than any other app in 21 countries.

The app’s importance to Roblox’s China expansion was prominently discussed in the company’s IPO prospectus.

However, it’s possible this change was implemented to allow Roblox to evade app store fees. The Apple App Store charges commissions and fees when software contains in-game purchases.
