Whether voice chat ever rolls out for younger users or not, Roblox seems well aware that keeping a virtual environment with voice chat feeling safe and friendly is a steep challenge.

Roblox is introducing a new voice chat feature called “Spatial Voice,” starting with an invitation-only beta for select developers, the gaming platform announced on Thursday.

"Roblox" opened up its hotly anticipated voice chat feature to most players this week. But despite an ID requirement, it's proven difficult to police.

Roblox said it is rolling out voice chat for those who are 13 and older on its user-generated content platform.
