Apple’s new iOS and iPadOS 16.4 betas will let Safari web apps on your homescreen send you push notifications. The feature was first announced at WWDC in June.

Internal code, including developer APIs, for Apple AR and VR, plus the ability for web apps to send iOS users push notifications has been spotted within Apple's latest iOS 15.4 beta release.

Web Push, a multi-standard notification service for time-sensitive and high-priority events will be available for Safari 16 on macOS Ventura in October.
