Using any Raspberry PI and a DHT11, DHT22 or DHT2302 sensor, read and publish data to an MQTT broker. The DHT11 is a low-cost and popular sensor for measuring temperature and humidity.

The Pi can sink up to 16mA per pin if configured properly. Try that and see what happens. I normally order a few of each sensor so I can try with a different sensor if something is acting up, though.
