Android Auto is experimenting with a new media player layout, potentially swapping the Play/Pause button with the Previous button.
The latest version of the Google Play Store (version 42.2.19-31) introduces a new “Pause” button for Play Protect, sitting right next to the existing “Turn off” option.
The control strip featuring the play/pause button has been removed from the updated YouTube miniplayer. You also won’t see the 10-second rewind/skip option.
