New details have emerged in Montclair State University's lawsuit against Oracle in connection with a troubled ERP (enterprise resource planning) project.

Oracle left what researchers called a "mega 0-day" unpatched for six months after it was reported to the enterprise software vendor, leaving multiple large corporations open to potential exploitation.

Meanwhile, major healthcare systems like Intermountain Health, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and AdventHealth have already signaled plans to move away from Oracle's EHR.

Oracle partners at the time said they could see the potential synergy of the Micros System software working with Oracle's cloud services and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) strategy.
