Spamalot, the eagerly awaited musical adaptation of the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, opened last night on Broadway to rave reviews and a star-studded audience.

According to producer and screenwriter, Tony Nottage, Jones’ lines were recorded way back in 2016, before the Monty Python legend’s diagnosis was made public.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail may still only be for the most dedicated to the group's unique sense of humor, but has aged like fine wine.
