Windows 10 now allows you to mount physical disks formatted using the Linux ext4 filesystem in the Windows Subsystem for Linux 2.

The method I used before in Windows 2k, to read files from a Linux partition, was to install ext2fsd, then mount the Linux drives somewhere using the "Disk Management" tool.

The Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) enables the start of a Linux system and the use of Linux applications under Windows. Performance can also be improved with a new kernel.
