According to officials, construction will begin on MOSH’s new location on the Northbank in 2026, before a projected grand opening in Summer 2028.

The Museum of Science & History (MOSH) announced that it will close on Sept. 1 to focus on the development of its new state-of-the-art facility on Jacksonville’s Northbank.

Even though construction hasn't begun on MOSH's new Northbank facility, the science and history museum on the Southbank will close by Sept. 1.

MOSH announced Monday that it surpassed the $40 million fundraising requirement to build its future home on the Northbank.
