Minecraft 1.21.1 debuted for Java Edition on August 8, 2024, as a hotfix update to fix a few critical exploits that were being used to intentionally crash multiplayer servers.

Alongside the Xbox S|X, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo, the PS5 platform features Minecraft Bedrock Edition. The Pocket version of the game, available for both Android and iOS devices, is also Bedrock.

Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Android devices requires OS 9 or higher, 1GB RAM, 1GB storage, and OpenGL ES 3.1 for smoother gameplay, with updates supported until March 2025.
