A new Lyft preference setting, known as Women+ Connect, allows female and nonbinary riders to request drivers of the same gender identity.

Lyft Inc. is launching a feature that will try to prioritize matches between women and non-binary riders and drivers in response to demand for increased safety protections for its users.

Lyft is expanding its program that matches women and nonbinary riders to similar drivers. The Women+ Connect initiative is now available in numerous new cities, including Los Angeles and Miami.
