An Affinity V2 Universal License: A single license that allows you to use any Version 2 Affinity application (Designer, Photo and Publisher) on all three operating systems (macOS, Windows and iPadOS).

Affinity Designer adds several new options to the Pencil Tool, including Auto Close, Smoothness, and Use Line Style (which lets you adopt the currently set stroke properties from the Stroke Panel).

The new Affinity Version 2 creative suite is here, and all three apps are now available for the iPad — you can even design page layouts on your tablet.

I'd never heard of Affinity Designer before this post. Checked it out, looks very capable for $50. Another thing you might consider is simply buying an older version of Illustrator.

Affinity Photo 2, Affinity Designer 2, and Affinity Publisher 2 have all been launched by Serif for the Mac and iPad, with reworked interfaces, new features, and new licensing options.
