Lastly, the new 3007WFP-HC comes capable of reproducing 92% of the NTSC color gamut, while the 3007WFP, as well as many standard LCD panels on the market today, are only capable of 72% reproduction.

The upshot Significantly better LED-backlit LCD color and contrast are here, even in lower-cost models. It hasn’t reached the bargain-basement models quite yet, but it will get there.

These results are beyond the color gamut limit achievable by a conventional LCD. Our design works equally well for other light sources, such as a 2-phosphor-converted white LED.
