Microsoft has announced that the Web Application Firewall (WAF) bot protection feature has reached general availability on Azure on Application Gateway starting this week.

The setup screen for the WAF option in Azure creates an appli­cation gateway. As shown in Figure 1, a new Tier option lets you create either a standard gateway or a WAF-enabled gateway.
