Maybe you just want something different, but you don’t want Microsoft to choose it for you. Whatever the case, you’re free to set your own default font in Microsoft Word whenever you want.
Microsoft has changed the default font in Word with one of the latest updates. Instead of Calibri for normal text and Calibri Light for headings, the fonts Aptos and Aptos Display are now preset.
And while Microsoft is finally looking to shake things up again with a new default font, you don’t have to follow the whims of Redmond. You can set any font you want as Word’s default.
Most Microsoft apps use the same font by default. However, if you want to always use a different font in one or all of your desktop 365 apps, you can change the default manually.
