The latest Windows 11 build from the Dev Channel contains much-needed improvements for File Explorer's tabs. It is now significantly easier to move and drag out tabs between different windows.

Microsoft heard you like tabs, so it decided to put tabs into File Explorer tabs so you can tab while you tab. A future update will let you switch between recent, favorites, and shared files.
