If you would like to access the USB debugging on your smartphone, you will need to enable an option first and that is the Developer options. They are a set of menus that is hidden on Android devices.

USB debugging is among the advanced Android features hidden in the Developer Options menu. When enabled, this feature will allow an Android phone to communicate with a computer over a USB connection.

Plug your Android device into your desktop or laptop. You should see a popup on the display asking if you want to allow USB debugging for the device (Figure B).
