A linear equation is drawn as a straight line on a set of axes. To draw the graph we need coordinates. We generate these coordinates by substituting values into the linear equation.

You can make a line graph in Excel in a matter of seconds using data already entered into the spreadsheet.

To draw a simple curve shape without perfectly adhering to data points, click Insert from the primary menu. Choose Shapes to retrieve all of the line drawing options and select the curve shape.
