Popular password manager app 1Password has added a useful new feature—QR codes that share wifi with guests. The app automatically generates these wifi QR codes for saved networks.

There are plenty of ways to scan QR codes on a laptop, but you may not realize how easy it is to do with a little help from software or apps.

Microsoft is testing a new method to connect to Wi-Fi networks in Windows 11. The recently released preview build 26052 lets you connect to a network by scanning its QR code with the Camera app.

Conveniently share your Wi-Fi network name and password via QR code with your nearby family and friends by having them scan the code – no links or extra taps needed,” says the 1Password team.
