Minecraft 1.21.1 debuted for Java Edition on August 8, 2024, as a hotfix update to fix a few critical exploits that were being used to intentionally crash multiplayer servers.

When you visit the Microsoft Store, search for Minecraft and choose to buy the Bedrock & Java Edition. From here, you have to sign into your Microsoft account if you are not already signed in.

Install all Minecraft versions (Bedrock Edition, Java Edition, Education Edition, Classic) on Chromebook (ChromeOS), with or without Linux by following these instructions.
