To add notes to your PowerPoint, you'll need to have your presentation set to "Normal" view before accessing the "Notes" button for individual slides.
Search for the presentation to use with laptop speaker notes and double-click it. Scroll through the slide deck on the left side of the screen to get to the first slide to add a hidden note.
Open PowerPoint and launch the presentation for which you want to take notes. Click in the area below the slide, where it says "Click to Add Notes," and start typing your notes.
