Replace "new_table" with the name of the table to create, and replace "old_table" with the name of the table to select from. The INTO clause behaves the same as CREATE TABLE in other SQL environments.

Although Power BI will create an internal date table for you, it won’t always produce the filtering and grouping requirements you need. When this happens, you can create the date table yourself.

The Date column can’t have missing dates — the dates must be contiguous. It’s best to know up front whether you plan to rely on the Auto date table or create your own.
