A Florida man is heading to trial in Maryland for an alleged plot to destroy the power grid in the Baltimore region in furtherance of his neo-Nazi beliefs.

The plot to demolish Baltimore’s power grid was part of what researchers have described as a pattern of racist plots and attacks targeting electrical infrastructure.

Sarah Beth Clendaniel pleaded guilty on Tuesday to attempting to destroy Baltimore's power grid as part of extremist white supremacist beliefs.
