米GitLabは、同社が開発・提供するGitリポジトリマネージャGitLabのエディタ機能であるWeb IDEを、Visual Studio Codeベースに置き換えることを、5月23日（現地時間）に発表した。

DevOps specialist GitLab has officially taken over the control of a GitLab extension for Microsoft's open source, cross-platform Visual Studio Code editor.

GitLab's strategy is to integrate AI more closely into the development platform. The Duo Agent Platform in Visual Studio is now available as a beta.
