A tenth of Flutter’s staff bonuses will be tied to preventing betting addiction for the first time this year as the group plans to increase spending on tackling problem gambling.

Flutter Entertainment CEO Peter Jackson also explained the origin of the company's name, and how betting is different in the United States.

Flutter’s overall group revenues increased 17 per cent to £6bn in 2021, while pre-tax profits, adjusted to account for its acquisition of Canada’s The Stars Group, fell 22 per cent to £620mn.
