Nefarious game makers appear to be leveraging a chat-based Roblox exploit that results in automatic account bans for unsuspecting users.

Roblox is implementing fixes for a chat moderation exploit that resulted in a wave of automatic bans, but the offenders say there’s more to come.

Roblox is a popular platform for kids to connect with friends — which also makes it a perfect place for predators to find victims, according to an Alberta RCMP officer.

“We thought our new 'Hack-A-Cat' game was a unique opportunity to inspire interest in cybersecurity for a younger audience using Roblox,” said Stu Sjouwerman, CEO of KnowBe4.
