Delta Air Lines has uncorked a rebranding of all of its fare types — upending the Basic Economy/Main Cabin/Comfort Plus/etc. order that has dominated the big U.S. airlines for the last decade or so.

Delta Air Lines is looking to add more value for middle to upper-middle class fliers by reshuffling its fare classes next year. A new cabin class below comfort plus could be a possible offering.

Delta will cut main cabin capacity by about 1 percent by late summer 2025 due to declining demand for low-cost fares, while increasing investment in premium seating.
