But now it does not read it correctly. In Disk Management the drive shows up as a dynamic disk. I did some reading and it seems that the Windows 7 machine will only read it as a Basic disk.

i have a dynamic disk that needs to be converted back to a basic disk. i can right click it in disk manager, but revert to basic disk is greyed out. how do i convert it?
